A Costa Rican appeals court has called for a retrial in the murder case of sea turtle conservationist Jairo Mora. Seven men were acquitted of his murder in January after a severely botched trial.
Ann Maxin Patton, 43, was in court again today in San Isidro de El General for a retrial on charges that she murdered her husband, U.S. financier John Felix Bender, 44, in a bizarre incident at their jungle mansion in 2010.
A judge on Tuesday night ordered three more months of preventive detention for seven defendants accused of participating in the murder of Costa Rican sea turtle conservationist Jairo Mora last year, according to the Limón prosecutor's office.
