The biggest shopping day in the U.S., known as Black Friday, is now also a Costa Rican phenomenon, thanks to weekend deals by Aerocasillas.
Aerocasillas, a subsidiary of the Miami-based courier and shipping company Aeropost International Services, will offer discounts on purchases made by membership cardholders at participating locations on Friday, Saturday and Monday. The latter is being billed as “Cyber Monday.”
Aerocasillas locations at Avenida Escazú, Curridabat, San José, Desamparados, Guadalupe, Heredia and Cartago will extend hours during the weekend and will charge a zero percent fee on delivery orders made in cash and a four percent fee for orders made with the company card. Typically the delivery charge for orders through Aerocasillas, most which are shipped from the U.S., is eight percent.
Aerocasillas purchases can be made from online websites such as Amazon, Ebay, Gap, Victoria’s Secret, Forever 21, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Buy.com, Toys R’ Us, Target and Old Navy.
