Tico Times Pic of the Day: Sunset at Espadilla Beach in Manuel Antonio

Located just outside Manuel Antonio National Park, Espadilla Beach is a favorite location for tourists to relax after the park closes for the day.

While the beach tends to get busy, it’s expansive enough — at about a mile long — that it won’t feel overcrowded. And there are stores when you can rent surfboards, ride a banana-boat or go parasailing at sunset.

Importantly, Espadilla Beach has plenty of vendors selling granizados to cool down after a long day in the sun.
