Costa Rican film ‘Güilas’ to premiere Thursday

You might know Sergio and Giancarlo Pucci from their photography books, including the “Costa Rica from Above” series of aerial images and the “Magical Trees” books and calendars.

However, Sergio Pucci has now become a film director: his short “Amor de Temporada” is now a feature film, “Güilas” (slang for “Kids”), set to premiere Thursday.

“The intention of the film is to highlight Costa Rican identity through the experiences of these kids, with an infancy full of games and mischief, outside in the fresh air,” said Editorial PUCCI in an email this week.

Take a look at the trailer, which provides a glimpse at the “seven stories, seven provinces” depicted by the film. More information here.
