Tamarindo Talk

August 13, 2013

Dogs need a good loving place to reside when their masters head out of town. Meet Katherine D’Agata, a Tamarindo transplant who had a successful dog walking, boarding and training business in Toronto. Now she has Build A Bond Dog Services, which offers boarding for your dog in the loving atmosphere of her home. She also offers training to build a bond between you and your pet. Call 8434-6263 or email info@buildabond.com.

Koi Restaurant at Aqua Discotheque is changing over to an Italian place called That’s Amore. Owed by Gian “Pit” Arcieri from Rome, and manned by a chef from Bologna, the trattoria-style patio restaurant features a new menu of handmade pastas, fresh Mediterranean-style seafood and many other authentic Italian dishes. Yum.

Speaking of Italian, Damon Mitchell has opened Pizza & Co. in Plaza Conchal 2, on the bottom floor under CR Paradise. The hours are noon-9 p.m. M-W, and until midnight Th-Su. All the favorites are there: cheese, pepperoni, ham and mushroom, with monthly specials. Delivery available at www.ticotogo.com.

CEPIA is opening a new library to the public at its Huacas location 300 meters west of the Huacas crossing. There will be approximately 2,000 books including textbooks and literature for adults and kids. The hours are M-F, 3-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. Call 2653-8533.
