Texas hold ‘em poker lovers will be happy to learn that the 3 Kings Poker League tournament has returned to Tamarindo. Unfortunately, the open play has ended but the Final Table event of the season will take place June 2 at the Casino Diria. The top 3 vying for the $3,000-plus reward are Henrik Bodholdt at no. 1, Luis Alejandro Giralt at no. 2 and Giovanni Valverde at no. 3. The wonderful yoga teacher Marcela Nuñoz now teaches classes at Tamarindo Gimnasio on Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m.
And over at SER Om Shanti Yoga Studio, in addition to its regular slate of yoga classes, there is now a class on salsa, merengue, samba and other Latin rhythms taught by Alejandra Parody. The lessons are Thursday at 7 p.m., and the studio is located in the ABC Realty building on the second floor.
This morning at 9 a.m. will be the 2013 Pura Vida Ride Paddle Battle at Las Catalinas, Playa Danta. This is the 3rd annual event, and the prize is a $2,500 Surftech Jamie Mitchell Lahui Kai 12’6 Race Standup Paddle Board (which just happens to be what the winner of the 2012 Paddle Battle was using).
