Regulatory agency approves decrease in fuel prices

April 29, 2013

Next month will bring good news for motorists, as price of fuel is set to decrease.

Costa Rica’s Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) on Monday said it had approved a decrease in the per-liter price of super gasoline of ₡28, as well as ₡22 for plus gasoline and ₡12 for diesel.

The price change is due to a slight decrease in the international price of oil, ARESEP said.

The decrease also will affect the price of kerosene and aviation fuel.

New prices will go into effect at midnight of the day of its publication in the official newspaper La Gaceta, which is expected to take place in coming days.
