Tamarindo Talk

April 19, 2013

Hidden Coast Realty has moved to a new location on the ground floor of Plaza Tamarindo Local A-11. Founded by Joost Hauwert 13 years ago, the company boasts another office in Puerto Coyote. The Tamarindo office can be contacted at 2653-0708 or from the U.S. at 949-891-7385. Email is joost@hiddencoastrealty.com.

Good news: it looks like they are paving the road that turns off our main Tamarindo street. At the very least it will be graded well. Stay tuned for more details.

One more option for pizza in Tamarindo, Pizza & Co features a stone oven pizza and bruschetta, and you can eat in or have free delivery after 6 p.m. The restaurant hours are 11:30 a.m.-2 a.m., and it is located in Plaza Conchal II, next to the liquor store, under those huge statues of black horses. Closed Sunday.

Looking for an authentic Costa Rican tour experience? Ivan Sequeira now offers a special tour to visit a Tico home and see tortilla and cheese making in the traditional manner. He’s got three phone numbers to call to book the tour: 8771-2373, 8557-5589 or 2653-8407.

After winning two out of three of the national surf contest dates, Tamarindo’s Malakai Martinez is ranked no. 1 in the mini grommets of the Circuito Nacional Olympus 2013, presented by Adrenalina Rush. There are four more dates to go, including the Gran Final, but things are looking good for the 11-year-old to pick up his second national championship.
