Tamarindo Talk

March 1, 2013

There’s a new Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga class at SER Om Shanti Yoga Studio located on the second floor of the Plaza Tamarindo building that houses ABC Realty. The class, taught by Klara Lugossy, is given Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

The practice will be the First Series, called Yoga Chikitsa (yoga therapy), also referred to as “the healing series.” It is a rigorous practice of standing and seated asanas (postures) with a finishing sequence to slow the mind, cultivate clarity and meditate. For more information, you can reach Klara on Facebook.

The local Alcoholics Anonymous group has started a new Wednesday meeting at 10 a.m. As with the other meetings (Monday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.) the event takes place in the small house that you find by going to the end of the main road, which is a circle.

There is an alley at the back of the circle, and when you enter the alley you will see the AA sign. Enter through Pedro’s Surf Shop and you will see the AA house in the back. For more information call 2653-0897 or email EllenZoe@aol.com.

Another new restaurant is gaining local attention. This one is On Egin, which features a variety of Basque cuisine from Northern Spain. All homemade dishes include seafood, sangría, paella and much more. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Plaza Tamarindo, below Bar1 and above ABC Realty.
