If you want to enjoy a sunset sail, and raise money for Surf for Youth, then here’s your chance. On Jan. 19, you can go out on the Marlin Del Rey Catamaran and your fee will go toward the charity surf program that encourages kids to stay in school while developing and supporting their skills as surfers.

The event is organized by Waves Costa Rica, Quiksilver Surf Camps Costa Rica and Grupo C.O.R.E. For more information email or call 8829-4610 or 2653-4523.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at El Pescador on the beach, enjoy a free music show with Darin Talbot. Called Puravidaville, the show is interactive and free, and you can order dinner or not. Call 2653-2523 to make a reservation or just stop by.

Shon Koepeta has revitalized the Garden Plaza commercial center, the mall which houses the Automercado. There are all new stores: clothing for women, men and kids, a Movistar phone outlet, a beauty store, jewelry shop and more. The centerpiece of this revitalization is the great new Middle Eastern restaurant called Gazebo. Try the hummus, falafel and more at lunch and dinner.

Tony Tattoo is now located at a new studio next to Le Beach Club. He does great body art with 100 percent sterile equipment. For appointments, call 8856-8922.
