Playa Hermosa has joined the surf tournament locales of Hawaii, California, and Puerto Rico in its selection by Volcom to become a Volcom Stone’s VQS Tour location. The grassroots, free-surfing championship is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, and will feature five separate divisions: Squids (10 & under), Groms (13 & under), Juniors (16 & under), Girls (20 & under) and the Pro-Am (20 & under).
Volcom Latin America representative Diego Ramírez will be in town with Volcom USA Team Riders and staff, who are hosting the contest in front of Vista Hermosa. Volcom will be giving away one of the biggest prizes ever in Costa Rica or Latin America. The junior winner will be live webcasted on the WCT Fiji event.
