A cornerstone for a new station for the Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas was inaugurated in Flamingo with a ceremony that included representatives of the U.S. Embassy. Locals came in celebration of this event on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. There were introductions of Costa Rican officials and U.S. Ambassador Anne S. Andrew and members of the Coast Guard. Activities included a cultural dance and refreshments after the ceremony.
Reserva Conchal is hosting its 6th annual charity golf tournament on Nov. 28, starting at 8:30 a.m. Price includes 18 holes of golf plus a cart, a buffet dinner at the Beach Club at 6 p.m., awards, a silent auction and a raffle. A cash bar is also available. If you don’t want to play golf but want to attend the buffet, you can do that, too.
