Tamarindo Talk

May 30, 2012

Looking to revive The Village in front of Country Day School, chef Julie Carrozzi has opened the new Café Maison de Madeleine. She loves to cook and draws on experience in New York, Florida and Nashville for her meals.

Julie also has a personal chef and catering service. For more info, see www.maisondemadeleine.com or call 8517-2822.

SER Om Shanti is featuring a master yoga class today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Practice will be led by international yoga teachers Hali and Kevin. The class costs $20. Namaste.

A new bar called Monkeys & Midgets is set to open June 22 with the ironic tagline, “The worst bar in Tamarindo.” It will be located on the main road next to Sunrise Condominiums. For a job interview in English, call 8559-9317; in Spanish, 8704-1685.

The municipality of Santa Cruz has opened an office in Tamarindo. It is located on the third floor of the Sea Tower, just above Super Compro. The office will address needs previously handled in Santa Cruz.

Romeritos in the Garden Plaza, where Auto Mercado is located, has closed. It seems that the commercial center just cannot sustain a restaurant. How many does that make?
