Happy new year, everyone! Holiday events in our area were merry indeed, including a Christmas bazaar at Marie’s restaurant, concerts by local bands at Marie’s, the Happy Snapper and Maxwell’s, Christmas dinners at local restaurants, and the annual Potrero kids’ party on Christmas Day, organized by Kristen Hughey.

The Oki-Doki bar and restaurant and B & B Lodge in Potrero will present live blues by Blues & Funk tomorrow starting at 5 p.m. The entry fee is ₡4,000 ($8). Food, drinks and arts and crafts will be offered. For more information, contact Gregory at gregorymonica@gmail.com.
