Manuel Antonio/Quepos Tidings
Mark and Karen Whitmire of La Hacienda restaurant tell us that New Orleans recording artists and honky-tonk women Kim Carson and Nancy Buchan, the Tropi-Cowgirls, will be playing at La Hacienda every Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Starting Dec. 21, they will have BenJammin and Nancy Buchan Monday nights and the Pura Vida Social Club Friday nights.
Thanks to Adrienne Pellizzari for letting us know about an error in the Tidings. Café Milagro is not serving dinners at its Quepos location; dinners are served at their Manuel Antonio location only. For more clarification, Lance Byron added that El Patio de Café Milagro, their “Bistro Latino,” moved to Manuel Antonio last year. It is a full-service restaurant and bar, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The original location in Quepos, called Café Milagro Coffee Roasters, is the central production facility, dedicated to roasting and packaging their coffee. Bags of coffee and gifts are for sale here. The place next door is now Café Milagro Coffee House & Bakery, with an espresso bar, serving smoothies, fresh baked goods, breakfast and lunch.
Be sure to read next week’s Tidings for ideas on great places to eat and shop for the holidays.
