November 9, 2011

Ruta La Paz 5K and 10K is back! The goal this year is to build on the success of last year’s event and to unite participants of all ages and skills through positive healthy sport while raising funds for scholarships at La Paz Community School. Join the run on the beach and stay for the sunset concert by popular Costa Rican Latin reggae band Ojo de Buey. The run will take place Nov. 19 at 3:30 p.m. on the beach in front of the traffic circle in Playa Tamarindo. For more information, see rutalapaz.tamarindohomepage.com or check out La Paz Community School on Facebook.

Potrero’s B & B Lodge owner Gregory Fleurbaey will be hosting a Belgian weekend Nov. 25-26, featuring delicious Flemish stew, rabbit and prunes, chicken stew (waterzooi), Belgian beers and Belgian fries. For reservations and information, call 2654-5543 or 2654-5545.
