The third annual El Abogado y Sus Clientes (Lawyer and Client) Golf Tournament organized by Pacific Law & Consulting Firm and the Costa Rican Attorneys Association took place earlier this month at La Iguana Golf Course at the Los Sueños Marriott in Playa Herradura. Lawyer Orlando Zamora and clients Francisco Kou, Roger Araya and Tony Wo Ching won first place, while Carlos Segura and clients Rodrigo Flores, David Taylor and Cristian Morera took second place. 

It’s Halloween in the Central Pacific! The Best Western, Monkey Bar, Le Loft and Bar Oz are all having Halloween celebrations Saturday night, while the Backyard, Clarita’s and the Hook Up at Los Sueños are hosting their parties on Monday, Oct. 31. Lots of prize money will be awarded for best costumes. If you need last-minute Halloween decorations, check out Gabriela Zeledón’s Deco Flobos y Fiesta Jacó (2643-1806) in the Pacific Center, open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Pizza Hut has moved to the second floor of Plaza Coral and is being managed by Cristian Jiménez. It opens every day at 11 a.m. for lunch, closing at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For information, call 2643-2803, or order an express pizza at 2290-9595.

Shoetopia is the place to get your kids’ shoes and accessories in Jacó. Located next to Ríos Real Estate at the corner of Avenida Pastor Díaz and Calle Morales, Shoetopia is owned and run by Sandra Porras and James McGowan. They have boys’ and girls’ shoes, hair accessories for children, backpacks and more. The store is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. For information, call 2643-3039.
