Notes from Puerto Viejo De Talamanca

June 9, 2011

Come lend a hand at the Playa Chiquita and Punta Uva Educational Center June 13, 14 and 23. The awesome folks from the school are working with Costa Rican Adventures, the Talamancan Association of Ecotourism and Conservation (ATEC), ReciCaribe, the Talamanca Caribe Biological Corridor and U.S. students from a program called Knowledge Is Power.

Volunteers are welcome to show up and lend a hand fixing up the soccer field, making a sandbox, finishing a new classroom, building “windows” out of recycled glass bottles, finishing a storage space and more.

To get involved, contact ATEC at ateccr @gmail.com.
