Notes from Puerto Viejo De Talamanca

May 12, 2011

Everyone is invited to the Multicultural Fair at the Tribal Market in Cubali Town, between Cocles and Playa Chiquita, Saturday, May 21 from 1 to 7 p.m. The timing is perfect, because you won’t have to miss the farmers market in Puerto Viejo in the morning. There will be food stands, local products, variety shows, information about local services and lots of fun. If you are interested in a booth to show off your wares, talents or services, call Tribal Market at 2750-0923.

Other big news along the southern Caribbean coast is that the road is being fixed. You can come down to the coast or go up to Alta Talamanca a lot quicker now and not have to worry about destroying your car. Please remember that our coastal road is also our bike path, our pedestrian walkway and a wildlife crossing, so keep your speed down. It’s better to take it easy and enjoy the view, and conserve gas, too. We look forward to seeing you all on the beach!
