International yoga champion Esak Garcia will visit Jacó to give a two-day seminar Feb. 15 and 16. Dee Anne Day, the retreat facilitator, is coordinating with Docelunas Hotel to bring Esak, a graduate of Bikram’s Yoga College of India, to the area. Also this weekend, the 17th International Motorcycling Convention will take place in Jacó, featuring all makes of motorcycles from around the country, as well as parties, parades and concerts. The ride starts tonight at Amapola and continues tomorrow at the Best Western and Terraza del Pacífico, with an after-party at Tabacón Bar. Mouse in the Toaster Blues Band will be performing blues, classic rock and some Latin originals tonight from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Copacabana Hotel, on the outdoor stage adjacent to the beach. Next weekend, Super Bowl weekend in Jacó promises to be a hit. Clarita’s on the north end will host its annual Miss Clarita contest to raise money to help area children. Los Amigos will have its third annual Super Bowl Party Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. Reservations cost $20 per person, including two free drink tickets. Standing room only costs $10, including one drink ticket. The Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce will hold its first meeting of the year Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. at Morgan’s Cove.
