Congratulations to Dagmar and Ulrik Oldenburg on the birth of their baby girl, Lauren Amanda Oldenburg, who arrived Jan. 6 weighing 7.5 pounds and measuring nearly 20 inches. Lauren is a beautiful baby, as shown in photos sent out to friends and family.

A Taste of La Paz, an adult-only event to benefit the La Paz Scholarship Fund, will be held today from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Flamingo Marina Resort. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Rocko, Fusion featuring Isaac Ehresman and Funkate, while food will be catered by Upstairs@theRipJack, Season’s by Shlomy, Lola’s, Angelina’s and Nogui’s. Tickets cost ₡10,000 to ₡15,000 ($20 to $30) and include food, drinks, door prizes, a raffle drawing and a large silent auction of goods and services.
