Notes from Puerto Viejo De Talamanca
A new restaurant called Dante’s Roadhouse at El Tesoro, in Playa Cocles, serves Mexican food such as tacos and burritos with a happy hour and occasional live music. The tortillas are homemade and the owners are friendly.
For a delightful vegetarian breakfast and lunch spot with vegan options, try the Jardín del Angel in Punta Uva. The lunch specials are well thought out and delicious.
A yoga retreat, women’s gathering and musical celebration with forest dance will be held this weekend on the beach at the PuntaMonaCenter for Sustainable Living and Education, south of Puerto Viejo. Reservations are requested and can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org or 8321-2788. Stop by the Punta Mona office behind ATEC in Puerto Viejo and ask Molly about day trips to Punta Mona.
