News from Malpaís, Santa Teresa, Playa Hermosa
Happy birthday to Katarina Sochovsky of Casa Kata in Playa Hermosa, who celebrated Feb. 6 with her friend and fellow Vienna native, Thomas Naegerl. Thomas arrived from the Art Basel fair in Miami Beach, Florida, where he had a successful exhibition of his sculptures made of white marble and black granite with gold etchings.
Susan Money, former owner of Florblanca Resort, cannot wait to welcome everyone back on May 30, the target date for the opening of Pranamar Villas and Yoga Resort. A yoga shala blessing is being planned soon.
Florblanca regulars will feel quite at home at Pranamar. Former staff members Nancy Goodfellow and Stefano Allegri will conduct the yoga retreats and classes in the 72-mat studio. Managing the place is Mario Matarrita; coordinating social events and managing the restaurant is Marianne Fischel; and the head chef is Davin Rodríguez, who has spent time in the United States studying vegan and vegetarian cooking.
Susan is excited to fulfill her vision of welcoming back the community to enjoy good food, yoga and friendship at Pranamar. The resort will have a lagoon-style swimming pool, an extensive tea collection, a fun and healthy menu and lots of palapa areas to kick back and relax with a cold beer.
