Notes from Puerto Viejo De Talamanca
An association for surfing on the Caribbean is being formed. This will provide an organized effort for the kids of the Southern Caribbean to work together to compete and be part of the National Surf Circuit. A party to kick off the association is planned for April 11 at the new parking lot behind Cabinas Grant, with live music. To find out more about the association, look for Federico of Salsa Brava Surf Shop – reopening soon next to Cabinas Almendras – or DJ Chris of Hotel Maritza (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Jungle Internet Café has moved to the new center next to Cabinas Almendras. There is a new librería on the block up from Soda Miss Sam’s. Also, look for a new restaurant to open soon next to Baba Yaga.
Check out OohLaLara salon (8399-7748) in the center with the post office and pharmacy. This is a full-service salon offering hair, nails and waxing treatments.
